We are very excited to announce that we now have a weekly Yoga class at Kingston Jiu Jitsu. The classes are held at St. John’s Parish Hall on Thursday evenings from 8.30-9.30 pm. These classes are open to everyone, not just our club members, and can be attended for a drop in fee of £10.
Our Yoga classes are taught by Marvin Reid, who is also a jiu jitsu blue belt that trains at Kingston Jiu JItsu.
A workshop-style class where yoga postures are broken down to facilitate a deeper understanding of one’s individual anatomy and how the poses we do on the mat can have a empowering impact on the things you enjoy to do in your life. As a group we explore both new and traditional ways of movement, breath and mindfulness, with an aim to give you all the tools you need to facilitate healthy range of movement, functional strength, and a mind that can work for you rather than against you.The class is for all levels regardless of experience, perfect for the complete beginner or the advanced yoga practitioner.
